The FDOT District Five Planning Office is located on SR 436 (Semoran Boulevard) just north of SR 408 (the East-West Expressway) and approximately four miles east of downtown Orlando.  District Five Planning is collocated with a Florida Highway Patrol station.

From the west (Brooksville, Bushnell, etc.), proceed east on State Road 50.  About one mile east of the Lake/Orange County line, exit to the right onto Florida’s Turnpike southbound.  Approximately six miles later, exit to the right onto the East-West Expressway.  Please be aware Florida’s Turnpike and the East-West Expressway are toll roads.  Immediately after going through the third toll plaza, get into the right lane since the State Road 436 exit (Exit 14) you want is only about a half-mile past the toll plaza.  The exit will funnel you onto Lake Underhill Road.  Proceed through the first stoplight (Mercado Avenue).  The second stoplight is State Road 436.  There are two left turn lanes for northbound SR 436 and you will want to get into the rightmost of those two.  Turn left onto SR 436.  Turn right at the first stoplight (Kalmia Drive) into a parking lot.

From the northwest (Ocala, Leesburg, Tavares, etc.), proceed south on US 441 to State Road 423 (Lee Road / John Young Parkway).  Turn left onto Lee Road.  Go approximately two miles to Interstate 4 West and turn right onto the entrance ramp which will put you on I-4 West.  Then follow the Interstate 4 directions in the next paragraph.

From Interstate 4, take Exit 82A (the East-West Expressway / State Road 408) on the south(west) side of downtown Orlando.  You will get onto the exit from the right lane.  The exit ramp is one lane and then another lane appears next to it (the lane for traffic exiting I-4 from the other direction).  Make sure you are in the rightmost lane so that you end up in the lane which will take you eastbound.  Please be aware the East-West Expressway is a toll road.  Proceed through the toll plaza which is approximately four miles from where you got on the expressway.  Immediately after going through the toll plaza, get into the right lane since the State Road 436 exit (Exit 14) you want is only about a half-mile past the toll plaza.  The exit will funnel you onto Lake Underhill Road.  Proceed through the first stoplight (Mercado Avenue).  The second stoplight is State Road 436.  There are two left turn lanes for northbound SR 436 and you will want to get into the rightmost of those two.  Turn left onto SR 436.  Turn right at the first stoplight (Kalmia Drive) into a parking lot.

From State Road 50 in Brevard County, proceed west to State Road 436 (Semoran Boulevard).  Turn left onto SR 436.  Go one mile and turn left at the third stoplight (Kalmia Drive) into a parking lot.
