About Grant Mapper

The Grant Mapper tool has been designed to allow users to create a standard set of maps that can be used for submission to different grant applications. The available maps bring together a wide variety of data and have been designed to capture an array of the maps that applicants may need as part of a grant submittal.

The standardization of map templates for grant submittal provides for a professional and comparable series of maps that can enhance a grant submittal by assisting in illustrating a comprehensive story of the grant. The large amount of data present in the Grant Mapper allows the applicant the opportunity to best build their story and take advantage of the large regional datasets that have been brought together in this tool. Additionally, the Grant Mapper can be used in the creation of safe routes grant applications or for multiple types of grants dealing with safe routes and pedestrian connectivity.

In addition to the Grant Mapper tool, users are also encouraged to utilize other tools available on the Central Florida Safe Routes Portal. The profile snapshot tool functions as a report library, where users can view reports from individual schools, countywide reports, or select snapshots. Combining the Grant Mapper tool with the Profile Snapshot can greatly enhance the storytelling of a submittal and provides access to needed information through one convenient location.

For those applicants needing additional maps or combinations of maps that were not available in the Grant Mapper, the Central Florida Safe Routes Map Gallery provides an interactive map tool, where users can adjust scales, add multiple datasets, and features several other useful tools that can then be saved or printed.

The Grant Mapper has been created as part of the Safe Routes Program. The Safe Routes program brings together resources from FDOT D5 and the ECFRPC.
