SR 44 Corridor Management Plan
untitled.bmpSR 44 is an important east-west arterial that provides a link between Deland and New Smyrna Beach and between I-4 and I-95. Developments that have been recently constructed, approved, and planned are changing the operating characteristics and needs of the facility. These changes are further complicated by planned roadway connections and traffic signals. In order to assist the City in planning the future of the SR 44 corridor and to study future impacts to the I-95/SR 44 interchange area FDOT will conduct the SR 44 Corridor Management Plan to identify both short and long-term needs and recommend strategies pertaining to traffic operations, safety considerations, multimodal options, and access management (driveways and median openings) for addressing those needs. The study limits will extend from west of Airport Road to South Myrtle Avenue.
